UPDATE: Bradfield pleads guilty in Galesburg stabbing incident

UPDATE: On Friday, Jan. 19, Jeremiah Bradfield appeared in court with his attorney, court records say. He pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated battery – great bodily harm as part of a negotiated plea.

The judgment of the court was two years conditional discharge; 180 days in the Knox County Jail, with credit for 118 days served; and payment of all costs and fees by July 12, 2024.

Bradfield is not to possess any firearms, ammunition, or dangerous weapons, or to have any contact with another person named in court documents. Other charges were dismissed.

UPDATE: In an email from the City of Galesburg, Jeremiah Bradfield was taken into custody by police on Monday, September 25 at about 11 a.m. He is charged with attempted first degree murder and is in custody at the Knox County Jail.

EARLIER: Galesburg Police need your help to find a suspect in a stabbing last night, according to a news release from the department.

The Galesburg Police Department responded to JB Hawks/Lucky’s Landing, 1042 N. Henderson Street in Galesburg, on September 23 at about 9:12 p.m. about a disturbance. Officers found a victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital, then flown to another by Life Flight. The victim is in stable condition.

Galesburg Police have identified the suspect as Jeremiah J. Bradfield, 37. Bradfield is wanted for attempted first-degree murder.
