The Mandalorians Jake Cannavale brands The Rise of Skywalker the worst Star Wars movie and

JAKE Cannavale - who stars in Disney's Star Wars series The Mandalorian - has trashed the latest movie in the franchise.

The 24-year-old actor slammed The Rise of Skywalker, calling it a "f***ing failure".

"Rise of Skywalker was hands down the worst Star Wars movie. An absolute f***ing failure,” Cannavale said on Instagram, reports Digital Spy.

“There were more plot holes than there was plot,” the actor ranted.

He continued: “The amount of ‘by the ways’ was absolutely infuriating. Rise of Skywalker (btw dumba** title) was worse than Phantom Menace AND Last Jedi combined. Fight me.”

The post is no longer available, because it was made as an Instagram Story, which disappears.

Cannavale, the son of actor Bobby Cannavale, plays Toro Calican, a young wannabe bounty hunter, in one episode of The Mandalorian, which Disney launched in November.

Set in the Star Wars universe, the series takes place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and follows a Mandalorian bounty hunter beyond the reaches of the New Republic.

Jon Favreau serves as creator, head writer, and showrunner, as well as co-executive producer.

Jake is the son of actor Bobby Cannavale and screenwriter Jenny Lumet, and grandson of film director Sidney Lumet, and great-grandson of singer/actress Lena Horne.
