Stormy Daniels Denies Rumors of 'Business Relationship' With Mike Johnson

Stormy Daniels, the former adult film star who claims to have had an affair with Donald Trump, has denied baseless rumors that she had a "business relationship" with Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.

Johnson recently replaced Kevin McCarthy, who was ousted from the role on October 3 after being accused by Republican hardliners of cooperating with Democrats in a deal to avoid a partial shutdown of the federal government.

Louisiana Republican Johnson has been in the post for about two months.

He has already attracted the ire of Georgia Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has accused him of secretly cooperating with Democrats to pass several measures within the National Defense Authorization Act.

Johnson, who has been vocal about his Christianity, became the focus of salacious chatter on November 11, when a post was shared on social media suggesting that he and Daniels had previously had an intimate relationship.

"BREAKING FOX NEWS: Stormy Daniels admits to having a business relationship with Speaker Mike Johnson," read the post on X, formerly Twitter. "This is a developing story."

The post, which has been viewed more than 1 million times, was shared by an X account that describes itself as a "Raw & Unfiltered Parody Account."

More than two weeks after the post was shared, Snopes debunked the claim. There is also no Fox News report to support the claim and the source clearly identifies itself as parody, but despite this the post sparked a wave of outrage on the platform.

One X user wrote that "the entire Congress on both sides are tainted and it's pathetic. Ever wonder why there's so much crime? [Because] our 'leaders' are criminals, they just can get away with it more easily with the money. The chaos and disgust is real."

After a month of the rumor circulating online, Daniels shared a video on X in which she shot down claims of any form of a relationship, business or otherwise, with Johnson.

"So it's time for the weekly callouts, which I hope to set straight some ridiculous rumors or just call people out for being liars or jerks," Daniels said at the start of the clip, taken from her Beyond the Norm podcast.

Hey everyone it’s time for a new game I’m calling A$$HOLE OF THE WEEK. You’ll never guess who I nominated. Make sure to tune into Beyond the Norm (link in bio) every week for the latest in all things Stormy. Wanna ask a question? Use #askstormy and ask away! pic.twitter.com/t69XYrZSRm

"This week, I would like to call out whoever is responsible for starting that rumor that I had a 'business relationship'—which you know they all mean had sex with—Mike Johnson, and pretty much every other a****** who picked it up and ran with it and splashed it everywhere."

Daniels added that "as hilarious as it is, and as many people wanted that to be true… I'll be honest, I've been with a lot of Johnsons in my day… This one's not true. So whoever's responsible for that misinformation, you're the a****** of the week."

Johnson is known to be a devoted ally of Trump, who Daniels has alleged that she had an affair with back in 2006, a year after he married Melania Trump. The allegations have led to much fallout for the former president.

The Republican front runner for the 2024 presidential nomination has been accused of arranging for his former attorney Michael Cohen to give Daniels $130,000 as hush money during his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump has repeatedly denied all of the allegations, including Daniels' claim that they had an affair.

Amid Trump's plethora of legal woes, a criminal trial against the onetime real estate mogul looking into the payment given to Daniels has been scheduled to begin on March 25, 2024, as announced in May by the judge presiding over the case, Justice Juan Merchan.

The trial will be held at the height of the Republican presidential primary, when Trump is expected to face his main challenger, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

While the payment of hush money for a non-disclosure agreement is not illegal per se, the case against Trump has focused on the way the former president recorded the expense—which was repaid as compensation to Cohen by the Trump Organization for his legal services. Trump has denied any wrongdoing.
